ABOUT US

The 'Pottery' was started in 1977 by Sally and David Body, located next to their house in Scarfskerry, the 'Moorings', and traded under the name of 'Scarfskerry Pottery'. With a move to John O'Groats in 1988 and subsequent change of name, the 'Pottery' has been trading in Caithness for 31 years. The 'Pottery' logo is a derived from 'Groatie Buckies', a small cowrie shell found locally. They also form one of the makers stamps used to mark the pots. Other stamps used are JO'G and DB. Individual pieces can also be signed 'David Body'.
